Since Frozen was released on November 27, 2013, it has become one of my biggest obsessions and passions, which has further strengthened since the release of Frozen II. I am an avid fan of Star Wars, Harry Potter (both the books and films), and Disney, especially of animated ones and including those from Pixar. I love movies and have a deep interest in filmmaking. Hello everyone! My name is Moira, and welcome to my Tumblr page! □□□ I am an ISFJ, a Ravenclaw, and an American with Irish, English, French, and German roots. Thanks for the tag, I’m always happy to have been able to help you get started with giffing on Tumblr, especially for Frozen! □ I think F2 is unique because Anna has her hair down and so there’s more of it visible, as compared to her F1 coronation hair (which appears in all 4 movies/shorts) and her classic F1 braids which, are mostly covered by her pink hat, and eventually turn 100% white.Īs always, thank you for teaching me basic giffing, and for teaching me how to colour, resize and sharpen on Photoshop and for teaching me how to use Premier Pro to increase FPS! BTW ogle at Elsa’s back!Ībove gif is increased to 120 frames per second (normal is 24fps)ītw I have nothing against F1/FF/OFA Anna hair, I love all her hairdos. The above gif is in reverse =) compared to the movie. The scene above (inside the ship) is extremely dark but her hair colour IS there and can be “coaxed” to come out. Some other examples (these are all gifs I’ve posted before): (I really do enjoy the process of giffing) Making Anna’s hair “pop” in scenes that are originally dark is a joy for me! Her hair is so rich in colour and call me weird, but my heart skips a beat when I get the colour to “pop”. In the top pic, I have only applied brightness and contrast and levels but no saturation see how beautiful and richly coloured her hair is (bottom pic) when saturation is applied!! (to those who know me for my Encanto gifs, my heart is Frozen =)Īnna’s F2 “travel” hair is one of my favourite, favourite things to gif and tweak the colour, especially in this scene. However, the song was so impactful to the filmmakers that they decided not to change the lyrics to the song, but instead change the script to make Elsa a more anti-heroic, misunderstood character.Long post - I just want to share some personal thoughts as a gif maker and also some Anna appreciation. However, as the song was being written, it did not seem to fit her villainous nature. The two would team up to defeat him, and Anna would warm Elsa's frozen heart.Įlsa would have had a number of villain songs in the film, with the main one being "Let It Go". She would have her snowmen capture Anna, but would eventually face a redemption when Prince Hans threatened both her and Anna. Her appearance was modeled after the late singer Amy Winehouse.Įven after the script was changed to make Anna and Elsa sisters, Elsa retained her villainous status as Anna's jealous and bitter sibling that sought to take the kingdom for herself. In early designs, Elsa was intended to have spiky black or blue hair, wear a regal dress made of living white ermines, and a giant snowflake-shaped crown. In these early drafts, Elsa and Anna were not sisters, and Elsa actually planned to freeze Princess Anna's heart and kill her so she could rule over Anna's kingdom. Her hatred of humanity would come to a head when she was left at the alter, causing her to run away and create a kingdom of ice with an army of snowmen. Her backstory changed often, but the most common one was that she was a mischievous rebel as a child, who was ostracized due to her behavior and powers. In original drafts, Elsa was intended to be even darker than her literary counterpart, being a ruthless evil monarch that sought to rule the nearby kingdom.
